Activities held by Road Safety Institute (RSI) “Panos Mylonas” for the 6th UN Global Road Safety Week (17-23 May) “Streets for Life, #Love30”, campaigning for 30 km/h speed limits in residential areas, were successfully concluded.

On the occasion of the "World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims" (15/11) and the anniversary of the day that the Road Safety Institute (RSI) "Panos Mylonas" launched in Greece the campaign for “My World - The United Nations Global Survey for a Better World”, announces the results of the research.

Road Safety Institute (R.S.I.) President Mrs. Vassiliki Danelli-Mylona met in Geneva on October 6th, 2015 with the United Nations Secretary General Special Envoy on road safety and President of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) Mr. Jean Todt, to discuss road safety issues of vital interest and crucial importance.

The Hellenic Road Safety Institute (R.S.I.) “Panos Mylonas” coordinated activities and workshops in Greece during the 3rd Global Road Safety Week (4-10 of May 2015) in cooperation with Athens and Pikermi Municipal Authorities, private and public stakeholders, NGOs and the Representation of the European Commission in Greece.

The Day of Remembrance for Victims of Road Traffic Accidents (16 Nov.) was chosen by RSI "Panos Mylonas" to start an awareness campaign for «My World» global survey, conducted by the UN - «My world. Tell us the world you want».

A new programme begins for Road Safety titled “Scouting and Global Road Safety” which is an initiative of the R.S.I. “Panos Mylonas” and the Scouts of Greece in collaboration with Scouting Ireland and Road Safety Authority of Ireland (RSA) and it has been placed under the auspices of the UNECE. The program is included in the action for the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety.
