“Drive as you would like me to drive, when I grow up” “Children are showing us the way”- Regional Road Safety day-Western Greece 2019
“Children are showing us the way” was a successful event dedicated to children hosted by RSI at Patras Traffic Education Park named after Panos Mylonas on Regional Road Safety Day in Western Greece in collaboration with GEFYRA S.A.
The purpose of this educational event was to promote that children are observing their parents’ driving behavior and through that children’s road culture, attitude and behavior, is molded.
More than 150 primary school pupils attended with enthusiasm road safe behavior practices instructed by RSI’s experts and Greek Cart champion, Fotis Thomas. In addition, children drew colorful pictures of their parents’ everyday driving behavior as it is seen from the rear seats. A special leaflet was distributed to children asking them to evaluate their parents’ behavior as “careful” and “responsible” or “could do better”. Young students promised to keep reminding to their parents: “Mum-Dad, drive as you would like me to drive, when I grow up”.
