The Road Safety Institute (R.S.I.) "Panos Mylonas" is participating in the 7th International Verde.tec Exhibition and is being honored with an award at the Greek Green Awards 2025.
For another year, the Road Safety Institute (R.S.I.) "Panos Mylonas" participated in the 7th International Verde.tec Exhibition at MEC Paiania (February 21-23) with an information station.
The numerous visitors of this highly successful exhibition had the opportunity to take part in an electronic survey on driving under the influence of alcohol and to better understand its effects by testing the drunk-driving simulation goggles.
At the same time, visitors were informed about the road safety education programs of the Institute and gained insight into the consequences of speed by taking the reaction test. The Greek Green Awards 2025 were held as part of the exhibition, which brought together a large number of exhibitors.
The annual Greek Green Awards rewards companies, organizations, and distinguished individuals in Greece for their development and implementation of best practices in environmental protection.
The Road Safety Institute (R.S.I.) "Panos Mylonas" was honored with the "Sustainable Mobility Campaign" Award in the Environmental Awareness category.
The distinguished campaign of the Road Safety Institute on sustainable mobility and micromobility, implemented with the support of the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile), aims to inform and promote safe and environmentally friendly transportation options for road users. It contributes to the broader effort to reduce the environmental footprint of transportation.
The award was received on behalf of the Institute by its President, Mrs. Vassiliki Danelli-Mylona.
Upon receiving the award from Assistant Professor of Political Science at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Mr. Dimitrios Giakoulas, Mrs. Mylona expressed her gratitude to the organizers and the judging committee for this honorable recognition. She also thanked the attending local Government representatives for their trust in the Institute's work throughout the years. She emphasized the commitment of R.S.I. "Panos Mylonas" to supporting young people and society in the areas of prevention, road safety, and sustainable mobility, stating:
"The overwhelming public response at the exhibition, along with this prestigious award, strengthens our resolve to continue our work and our effort to connect road safety with environmental sustainability—both fundamental values in our daily lives. Sustainable mobility, through alternative means of transportation, is not just an option for a better future; it is our only path forward to ensuring more livable cities with a higher quality of life in the long run."
