As part of the European Programme:
“TREATISE - Training of local Energy Agencies and actors in Transportation and Sustainable Energy”
Road transport uses enormous quantities of energy from conventional fuels and is responsible for most of the air pollution, which has led to the deterioration of the greenhouse effect. In addition, they are responsible for traffic congestion and cause noise pollution.
The European work TREATISE, with the aim of limiting the consequence of these is providing free information and training regarding safe, environmentally and financially efficient means of transport.
KAPE, as part of TREATISE, is holding a meeting on the 28 June 2006 on the subject: "Transport and the use of renewable sources of energy: Possibilities, Directions, Prospects" at the Holiday Inn Hotel (Michalakopoulou 50, Athens)
The aim of the meeting is to spread new measures and policies that foster the use of renewable sources of energy in transport, as well as to inform institutions in the transport sector, who participate in the taking of decisions. During the event some simple measures and techniques will be presented for improving driving conditions and the protection of the environment.
Specifically, the thematic areas that will be touched on are:
