The Panos Mylonas Institute has published 400, 000 copies of the ROAD SAFETY GUIDE, which are now available. The aim of the Institute is to undertake, support and promote activities related to matters that foster Road Safety, road safety training, study, research, informing and training, with the aim of preventing and reducing traffic accidents.

The GUIDE TO ROAD SAFETY was presented at a press conference that took place on Tuesday 18 April 2006 at the theatre of the Ministry of Transport and Communication.

The GUIDE TO ROAD SAFETY is a well-presented publication with an easily digestible and understandable text, enriched with drawings and photographs in such a way that it is easy for everyone to understood how important it is to drive carefully and safely. The GUIDE TO ROAD SAFETY is the result of a collaboration between the Members and supporters of the Institute and experts in Road Safety and Education.

The texts were put together by Alexandros Kampa, overall editing by Aris Kokkas, the proofreading of the Material and the Publication was carried out by Ioanna Zisimopoulou and the Creative aspects by Ioannis Alexis.

The sketches are by Giorgos Mylonas and the Photographs were kindly donated by the Athens News Agency (APE).

The GUIDE TO ROAD SAFETY is divided into 3 units:

  • Car, Road and Man

  • Driving on rural roads with two-way traffic

At the end of the publication are the ten commandments of the good driver and a questionnaire that the readers are asked to fill in as part of the Institute’s research into matters concerning road safety in Greece.

INFOTE is the sponsor of the publication GUIDE TO ROAD SAFETY, which is part of the Company’s Social Responsibility policy. INFOTE attaches great importance to the problem of behaviour on the road and for that reason for 4 consecutive years it has published many copies of special booklets about behaviour on the road and has distributed them free in collaboration with distinguished experts in the market.

INFOTE distributed the GUIDE TO ROAD SAFETY on Easter Wednesday and Easter Thursday at the toll gates of Elevsina, Afidnes. Malgara and Patras and at the ports of Pireas and Rafina.

The Guide to Road Safety will be presented in Patras, cultural capital of Europe for 2006, at the event of the awarding of the Panos Mylonas Scholarship that will take place at the University of Patras.
