Tuesday 11th April 2017 was a bright day for Greece’s road safety and infrastructure. The 120 kilometres long Corinth-Patras section of the Olympia National Road was inaugurated by the Greek Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras, making the trip from the city of Patras to the capital Athens just an hour and a half journey.

At a meeting held on Tuesday 2/8/2016, the Secretary of Public Order, Mr. Dimitris Anagnostakis met with RSI’s President Mrs. Vassiliki Danelli Mylona. R.S.I. “Panos Mylonas” and the global initiative “Scouting for Global Road Safety” we are welcomed with great enthusiasm at the 23rd World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) which took place from July 28th to August 8th 2015 in Japan.

EUROPEAN best practices on road safety (AVENUE for Traffic Safety EU funded program) attracting the interest of youth at Global event - the World Scout Jamboree in Japan with 35.000 scouts from 150 countries, 8.500 volunteers and 10.000 external visitors within 2 weeks.

Road safety Institute (RSI) “Panos Mylonas”, in collaboration with the Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”, is holding for one more year a road safety summer campaign for native and foreign drivers who are visiting Greece for vacations. The posters will be in public view at the airport facilities during the whole August under support of the Interbus transit media.
